Kings Road, Chelsea
Kings Road in Chelsea, London, is a very popular shopping street which is brimming with independent clothes boutiques, antiques shops and many big name stores such as Habitat and Heals and Bluebird. Interestingly though, this street was not always a common high street open to the public, it used to be a private road which was only used by royalty (hence the name) to get to Hampton Court.

Kings Road starts at Sloane Square, home to the Royal Court Theatre and the famous Peter Jones department store which was the first department store in Britain to have such an impressive curved glass façade. Kings Road departs from Sloane Square and spreads south-west to Worlds End where it becomes New Kings Road. Chelsea is also famous for its football club but Chelsea Football Club actually has its grounds in Stamford Bridge in Fulham, not in Chelsea at all. Kings Road a shopper’s paradise!
