RDS
RDS Dublin is an exhibition, trade fair and entertainment complex run by the Royal Dublin Society, located on Merrion Road in the Ballsbridge district of Dublin. RDS is also an important venue for concerts and sporting events, putting on internationally renowned acts such as Bruce Springsteen, and also home to the Leinster Rugby Union team, who play in the 18,000 capacity RDS arena on the same site. The Royal Dublin Society was founded in 1731 to promote agriculture, the arts, science and industry in Ireland, and has been actively involved in shaping Dublin cultural life since then. Today, RDS is an essential Dublin attraction for both business and leisure travellers. Major Dublin events at RDS include the Failte Dublin Horse Show and the Art Fair.
