Staff were generally helpful and accommodating, being particularly helpful when I could not locate my wallet (offering to help call the police, call another hotel to assist in cancelling that reservation, etc.). There is a self-service laundry nearly across the street from the hostal, which is very useful (and not all that common in Spain-- in other cities I had to go well out of my way because of how scarce these are). The hostal is on a fairly well-lit and well-traveled street, though the Raval can still be a little dodgy at night. Some rooms in the back of the hotel do not have true window access-- they open up to a skylight courtyard, so you will get little circulation or fresh air. Indicate to staff that you would prefer a window room if this is important to you.

L'hostel Gat Raval è in un'ottima posizione, ma attenzione la colazione è scarsa! la pulizia sommaria ma sufficiente i bagni condivisi sono piccoli, ma il personale è molto disponibile per tutto quello che può servire.

Hatten ein 27€ Doppelzimmer mit Bad am Gang 13 Nächte lang und hatten absolut keine Probleme ! Man muss sich halt im klaren sein dass es sich hier um ein Hostal handelt und kein 5*Hotel Die Wände sind wirklich sehr sehr dünn und man hört jede Tür zuschlagen aber für Leute wie uns die eh erst um 5-6 uhr Morgens heimgekommen sind, war es echt perfekt, man kommt überall leicht zu Fuß hin und ein Supermarkt+Bankomat ist auch gleich vor der Tür. Ich kann die Leute schon verstehen die hier schlechte Noten geben wenn man jeden Tag früh schlafen geht nerven die Geräusche sicherlich aber dann wähl ich doch sowieso ein höherwertiges Hotel. Die Leute an der Rezeption waren absolut freundlich und nett. Zimmer werden auch jeden TAg komplett gereinigt. für junge Leute die Spaß an der Stadt haben und das Leben nicht all zu schwierig nehmen absolut empfehlenswert.

The hostal gatraval is located 10 min to Rambla and closed to the Metro station. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms were ok. Staff is friendly and breakfast was not much but enough.
