We did stay twice at the Grossmarket Hotel in Edinburgh: one night on the 6 to 7th and one night on the 16 to 17th of July. The price was lower and the rooms larger on the first night, this is the reason for our note 4 for the "Value for money" item. But one point was not very satisfying: my wife forgot a collar in the room (Nr 216) during the first night 6 to 7th of july. I announced the case by sms with my mobile phone on the 8th of July to the nr 0044 1 312 202 299 of the hotel in the hope they will find it and give it back on our return on 16th of July. Unfortunately on 16th of july the lady at the reception had not received our sms message and was not able during our second stay to give us any information on my wife's collar. One reason given to us: it is saturday evening. This absence of response to our SMS as well as to our direct asking at the reception let us a desagreable impression. Jean-François Dupont/18-07-2011

TV fungerade inte på rummet och problemet kunde inte avhjälpas av receptionist heller. Frukost serverades i den intilliggande puben och var inte speciellt prisvärd.
