Apartment Wenders, Madrid

The comment below is pretty accurate to the truth. The apartment is so lovely that I had trouble making myself get out. the only problems I've experienced being that it gets rather noisy on a saturday night -but, hey, that's the price you pay for living in the center of the area famous for its vibrant, pulsating nightlife. Notes to other travellers: 1) don't try to set the heating too low. when it's set low, the radiator makes all sorts of noises; 2) opt for taking showers in the morning, because the hot water acts a bit weird in the evenings, going cold all of a sudden. Wenders apartment is lovely. It is situated in Barrio Malasaña, district for young and non-conformist people. At Saturday night streets are full of partying boys and girls and walking around is perfectly safe. At the daytime there are opening small vintage and design shops as well as small cafes and restaurants. Subway station Tribunal is in 5 min walking. Historic centre of Madrid is in 40 min walking approx.  Apartment is big enough to hang in there and not only spend nights. They have collection of art house movies for you to have fun.  The only problem of the apartment is that it is on the last floor, under the roof. Here comes 5 floor stairs which are hard to climb more than one time a day. Here come low ceilings and some roof parts which make you bend down every time you enter the bathroom etc. We hit our heads and other parts of bodies several times a day because didn't get used to environment like that.
