Een fantastisch hotel op een mooie en sfeervolle plek in Istanbul. Uitzicht vanaf het dakterras is adembenemend. Personeel heel vriendelijk. Het enige nadeel - maar dat is dan ook echt het enige - is de koffie bij het ontbijt. Niet lekker. Maar is dan ook echt het enige minpuntje dat ik kan verzinnen!

Das Hotel verfügt über eine sensationelle Terrasse mit Blick über den Bosporus, auf die Hagia Sophia, Teile des Sultanspalastes sowie die blaue Moschee und halb Alt-Istanbul. Die Einrichtung ist eher zweckmässig und man sollte nicht EU-4 Stern Standard erwarten sowie ziemlich braun und dunkel. Kann man mögen, muss man aber nicht. Die Sauberkeit war okay, aber nicht umwerfend - In meinem Nachttisch fanden sich noch gebrauchte Oropax, sonst gab es nicht viel zu meckern. Tipp: Drauf achten ein Zimmer mit Fenster nach draussen zu bekommen. Es gibt auch welche mit Fenster auf den Gang und ohne Tageslicht. Die sind ziemlich stickig: Klimaanlage nur von April bis Oktober!

A real hotel in old Istanbul, so close to all the big tourist must dos, a short taxi ride from the boat from the Asian side (make sure you have a map with directions as the taxi drivers do not seem to know their hotels very well!!!) and on the tram/train line to the airport. Lovely breakfast.
