Askin Hotel is well situated in central, touristy Sultanahmet. It's slightly worn, but clean, though the cleaning procedures were rather random during our stay (the cleaning lady would normally come to our room between 4-5pm when we had just returned from our lunch, which was a bit annoying). The hotel does not have laundry facilities though advertised on budgetplaces.com. Also, they don't have different sizes of double rooms, so I ended up paying a little extra for a room upgrade which was in fact exactly identical to the cheaper one. Of course, there's no way to fix that once you're a the hotel. Breakfast is simple, but ok: Bread, egg, cucumber, tomato, olives, cheese, butter, jam, coffee, tea, lemonade. I would choose a more reliable place next time, if I could find it for the same price.

Askin Hotel is a beautifully restored Ottoman style house, built in 1932, decorated in late Ottoman style. The hotel has 22 rooms with facilities including hair-dryer, direct dial telephone, mini-bar and TV. Among the rooms available, you will find singles, doubles, twins and triples with a combination of a single and a double bed in the triples. All of the rooms benefit from a private bathroom and air conditioning and some have the added attraction of sea views. Your day starts with a delicious breakfast (included in the price) served during the whole year on the terrace with marvellous views of the Bosphorus, Blue Mosque and the Haghia Sophia. Mature couple
Ein sehr ordentlich geführter, kleiner und freundlicher Familienbetrieb in "romantischer" Lage. Wunderschöne Dachterrasse mit herrlichem Ausblick auf Bosporus und Blaue Moschee. Gutes Frühstück. Funktionierende Klimaanlage. Zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.Translate this guest review

La chambre que nous avons obtenu ne correspondait pas à notre réservation: un lit double petit à la place de deux. La climatisation que nous avions demandée ne fonctionnait pas.
