Radio City Music Hall is an entertainment venue located in New York City's Rockefeller Center. The venue dates back to 1932. It was originally dedicated to variety entertainment, was later converted into a very large cinema and was eventually converted into a theater for live performances.
The nickname of Radio City Music Hall is the “Showplace of the Nation”, and it was the leading tourist destination in the city. Its interior was declared a city landmark in 1978 and the venue has a beautiful Art Deco design with a stage resembling a setting sun. One of the main draws for many years has been the Rockettes which is currently playing mainly during the holiday season. The hall has often been the site of awards ceremonies like the Grammies, the Emmies, the Tonies and the MTV music awards. Today you can see all kinds of major concerts here at the Historic New York City venue of Radio City Music Hall.
