First of all, thanks Lula for the warm welcome and the fact that your (cosy and clean, great amenities) apartment felt a bit like home. Neigbourhood feels safe, tends to be a bit loud at night from time to time. Subway station (only about a 10 min ride to Columbus Circle / Central Park South) and Central Park are just 2 min. away. There are all in all three grocer's, a petrol staion and an HSBC bank within 1-2 min. by foot (for food check out Westside Market, about a 10min walk, 110th west of Lula's), along Malcolm X / Fredr. Douglas / Lenox Avenue / Adam Clayton there are a number of shops / cafés / churches (esp. W116th) etc, esp. recommendable Amy Ruth's restaurant W116th close to Malcolm X. Towards 125th it's getting more and more touristy (there is even an H&M...). For jazz clubs in Harlem check out

The closest one to the apartment is probably Lenox Lounge (check out the zebra lounge) with live jazz
every night.
To come to a close, once more thanx to Lula - and when we come back to NY, we'll definitely go for Lula's Apartment again. Translate this guest review

Great location as subway 2mins away and plenty of shops close by for essentials. People in and around the apartment really friendly and helpful. 2 minute walk to the entrance for Central Park. So long as your realistic as to what to expect for the price of the accomodation you will not be dissapointed. We visit NY a lot and, for example, we had a pretty high brow meeting at the Intercontinental at the end of our stay and had to pay $825 for 3 night stay. From now on whenever we have multiple meetings in NY we will look at Budgetplaces for the majority of our visit and, hopefully, not have to use the major Hotel chains.Translate this guest review
