Dank der Express-U-Bahn-Linie sind Rockefeller-Centre etc in ca 20 Minuten zu erreichen inkl. Gehzeit zur U-Bahnstation - und auch abends wird diese Linie gut bedient. Die Ratschläge von Bert waren hervorragend und seine detaillierten Erklärungen bei unserer Ankunft ermöglichten eine leichte Orientierung hinsichtlich der öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sowie damit die "optimale" Planung der "Tagesrouten". Seine Tipps bezüglich der Attraktionen in Harlem, waren klasse: der Jazz-Club (um ein Highlight zu nennen) ein toller Insider-Tip, denn diesen hätten wir erstens nie gefunden und zweitens wären wir nie hineingegangen, da es wie eine Privatunterkunft ausschaut. Lebensmittelladen etc befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe, so dass auch das morgendliche Frühstück mit Brötchen in knapp 2 Gehminuten zu organisieren ist. Wir haben uns in uns im Viertel wohl und sicher gefühlt, haben aber natürlich unbeleuchtete Seitenstraßen (wie in jeder Großstadt) gemieden. Die Menschen, denen wir in unserer Urlaubswoche "in unserem" Viertel begegneten, waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

L'alloggio corrispondeva esattamente all'immagine della foto, molto comodo, pulitissimo, confortevole, a breve distanza a piedi dalla fermata della metro. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo e disponibile, ci ha fornito molte informazioni utili e a fine soggiorno ci ha anche accompgnati con la sua auto alla stazione della metropolitana che ci permetteva di raggiungere la Penn Station di NYC, (nostra stazione per lasciare la città).

Das Appartment war super eingerichtet und sauber, einfach genau wie auf den Bildern! Bert war total nett und hat uns bei unserer Ankunft eine kleine "Einfuehrung" von New York gegeben, so dass wir super zur U-Bahn Station etc. gefunden haben. Man sollte nicht vergessen das Harlem ein Viertel mit vielen Dunkelhaeutigen ist, was aber kein Problem dargestellt hat, sondern einfach nur gewoehnungsbeduerftig fuer uns war...
