Reviews of Apartamento Olivar

The TV did not work, the Internet was sometimes not appearing, the washing machine was not working when we arrived. The kitchen had foodstuff from previous tennants. The person attending to us was very nice and polite.
The apartment was ideal in principal as my wife and I travelled with our 22yr old daughter so having seperate bedrooms was far better than going to a hotel. The indenendancy and self catering element was also a bonus to us and the apartment was clean. However we were disappointed with a few issues. There were NO windows looking OUT from the property and the majority of windows opened onto a small ground floor courtyard which was used to exercise a barking dog and for the ocupants to smoke in. The end result was that it was quite noisy and if windows were opened the smell of cigarettes filled the apartment and meant any towels hung to dry also stank of cigarettes. The shower curtain rail was broken and constantly fell down.

Located in the Lavapies district (and only minutes from Sol) this apartment has good facilities, is fairly big, and can easily sleep 3 people. Excellent location (near Atocha station, the Reine Sofia gallery & much more) and friendly staff. The only complaint would be the 40 cleaning fee, which is advertised but seems very expensive. Overall very good indeed.
