Just lovely

My room was on the petit side, however perfectly liveable. Christine is beyond helpful and always has time to offer you advice for just to have a little chat. I stayed 3 NJ nights which was the perfect length of time. Getting to the B&B from Heathrow was surprisingly easy as is getting around London from golfers green.

Excellent Stay

I had a very great stay at Iolanthe and for this reason I really recommend it. The two hostess are very nice and helpful, breakfast is cooked at your arrival in the dining room with daily products from the supermarket, rooms are comfortable and some have en-suite bathroom too.
The area is beautiful just few minutes walking from Hampstead Park, streets are very safe and clean and even if it is a bit far from the Underground station (Golders Green) there is a bus every 10 minutes that stops where you are with no need to find the bus stop and gets you off when you press the stop button, so no rash nor stress.
The bed and breakfast, that is actually the typical english cottage, is clean and Catherine provides you new towels and bath math whenever you need them, plus every room has a hair dryer. In every room there are sugar, the, water, hot chocolate, sweet, boiler and cups at no extra cost.
Basically in this house you feel at home so I would stay again at Iolanthe.

A fantastic experience

I have enjoyed several short breaks in London over the last few years, usually staying in Central London, with no reason to complain. How happy I am to have tried something different, by staying in London's Lung, Hampstead. This B+B is a fantastic find, with the personal touch I have not experienced in the other B+Bs. The hospitality is second to none, the breakfasts were superb. The house which externally could do with a little tlc, the interior is filled with charm and character. My room was of the best quality, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Situated in a leafy suburb next to Hampstead Heath, ideal for a morning walk or jog. A bit out of the way, but served by a minibus (H2) which stops outside the B+B, and terminates at Golders' Green tube station, which runs every 15 minutes, continuing to very late evening. This journey takes about 7 minutes, but the walk in to Golders Green, across the Heath and passing some lovely houses was very enjoyable, taking about 15 mins, a more direct route than the bus obviously.
The cost for my 3 night stay was in my opinion exceptionally low, given my previous excursions in to London.
I have already made plans to stay here again in the summer, this certainly ticked all my boxes

A little trip to London

We stayed here for 4 days and we thought it was great a home away from home so to speak. A very nice location as you wouldnt think that one was in london so much nature birds singing in the morning and all that. The service was good Christine looked after us very well and the wi-fi internet worked really good. All in all positive

Lovely B&B

Christine (don't think she's the owner but looking after the place) was very, very welcoming and helpful. The place itself was very comfortable and like staying in someone's house. The bathroom needs to be brought up to date - it's a bit mouldy and old-looking. Otherwise it's a lovely place. A bit far from the tube. There is, in theory, a bus that goes down to the tube but on at least two occasions I did the 25 minute walk and was not passed by the bus. Nice area though, right on the edge of the Hampstead Heath extension.
