Hotel Rembrandtplein

Overall I felt disappointed with the hotel, as regards the cleanliness of the linen and lack of spare pillows, and the mattress on the bed was threadbare in parts, no kettle, tv broke, staff were helpful and polite.

What they advertise is lies

Said they would provide TV, wi fi, breakfast and hairdryer, this is a lie. We had no TV and no hairdryer, the wi fi in the room is so slow as to be not worth it. Breakfast was not an option

As this was more expensive than the hostels and advertised itself as a hotel we were expecting it to be a hotel. It is basically an expensive prison. The last night they closed all communal areas, so we had no internet, tv, place to smoke or access to food and drink. Do not go here, go to a cheaper hostel as it will have more amenities.

We requested dry towels which never came, they charged us 2.50euros just for a cup of tea. The sink in the room is so small you cannot even fit a bottle in it for water. If the bar is closed, as it was when we were there, you have no access to decent drinks. Awful, indeed disgraceful.

The staff here are excellent and very friendly. The hotel is in a great location - you can't get any better, right in the old town! They even invited us to spend New Year's Eve with them but we already had plans.
However the room was a little dirty with cobwebs on the windows. The bed sheets were never changed and we didn't even get clean bath towels until we asked for them!
Because we stayed at that time of year we expected it to be expensive but we really didn't think we were getting what we payed for. Maybe the prices are fine at other times but for that money it was not worth it.

It felt like a 5 star hotel for 2 guys trying to hang out in Amsterdam on a budget. The staff were definitely more accommodating than most places I've stayed in. The breakfast was great because it was served until 11am. We met lots of nice people at the common hangout area which was just so comfortable.

Great location, beautiful surrounding: we were able to walk everywhere we needed to within 15 minutes.

The rooms were clean and spacious, we had a quadruple room for just the 2 of us. The weather in amsterdam had suddenly gotten cold, so our room was a bit cold.

very good location, but the double bed was too big for such a small room so that we could not move in the room and very uncomfordable bathroom
