Reviews of Hostal Turisol
Passatge dels Escudellers 7 (Plaça Joaquim Xirao), Barcelona
Hostel is located in a pretty noisy place. Shared bathroom - I've seen better and in better condition. The room should have been cleaner (eg windmill covered with a thick layer of dust) and frequently aired.
The Hostel is situated really well. Its very close to Las Ramblas and 2 metro stops so its very convenient. The twin bedroom was very small but we survived. Biggest issue was the "bathroom." The shower constantly flooded and the toilet was in the same, small place as the shower. Very cramped and no actual ventilation. Overall, it was ok.
Very nice location and very friendly and helpfull staff. Our only complaint is that the bed was full of bedbugs. Not very nice.

The staff were more than helpful and the location was great really close to everything. If you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay then I would recommend very clean.
The location and price are the bigest adventages of the accomodation. Although facilities are very basic, there is everything you need - it's clean, shared bathroom and toilet ws no problem and we had room service although we stayed only two nights. The oly disadvantage of the room was lack of glass windows.
The biggest letdown was services, once you check in you are on your own. Onwers speak very little English and seems to treat lobby as their living room. Friday night was extreamly loud - it seemed like somebody had a party on floor under ours.
Overall I'm satisfied with the accommodation - you get what you pay for - therefore we (3 people) were able to visit Barcelona on 1 person budget.
