Fine if you're on a budget

The property is fine, and doable if you're on a budget, but it's a no frills experience. The heat in my room wasn't working (but, to be fair, I didn't complain to them about it as I didn't figure it out until I was already all unpacked and didn't want the hassle of having to move rooms). The location is really terrific, that's it's best quality by far. The staff was fine as well. I wouldn't go as far to say they are warm or friendly, but they're certainly not unfriendly.

My one, big complaint, was that they are crazy strict about bringing someone up to your room. No one but a paying customer may go up to your room. This was problematic because I met up with friends of friends, and since this hotel was so centrally located I twice tried to bring a friend back to freshen up before dinner and to relax a bit after walking all day, but they would absolutely not allow it. I guess that's fine, it just seemed odd to me - they must have a lot of people try to get around their single/double occupancy prices.

Overall, it was just ok. It's a bed in a good location. But, if you're budget allows, I'd opt for something a bit nicer. Being physically and mentally comfortable goes a long way when traveling.

In the future, I'll opt for renting a room in someone's apartment on Airbnb or similar service (especially since the price would have been about the same). I think that would allow for a more comfortable stay plus some great local knowledge sharing!
