We booked a new year's trip to Venice where prices are extraordinarily high even for the most basic of services. The accomodation proved to be the one thing that was worth every penny and compared to the rest of our expenses the most affordable, too.Location was perfect, as one has to go by Vaporetto (waterbus)to the Lido di Venezia, resulting in a less touristic szenario, but more of a true venetien experience. It takes only 10-15 minutes to Venice's main square, the Piazza San Marco, and the waterbuses go frequently, even all night long. The B&B is located 7min. walking distance to the waterbus stop "Lido" or 1 bustop with Bus "A". Our room was clean, beautifully furnished, bathroom ensuite, bed comfortable, blow-dryer, big closet with hangers(many hotels only provide just like 3 hangers..pff..), chlothes valet, cupboards with marble plating. Only thing you need to bring is your own soap, shampoo and shower gel. There is free wireless internet in the rooms. Breakfast was basic but good and sufficient, the lovely hostess serves it at an individually arranged time and you can always ask for anything you need (more bread, coffe, hot chocolate..). When I got migrane she would generously give me some medicine instead of sending me to the next pharmacy. To sum it up: we enjoyed our stay very much, all convenience we were looking for was provided, the hostess was one of the loveliest ever, we appreciated the true italian family character of the stay, rather than being in a unpersonal hotel, plus there are only a few guestrooms, so it's a very homy atmosphere. It's a matter of taste, I suppose. But we travel a lot and this B&B has been cleaner, cheaper and more comfortable than many 3-4 star hotels we've been at. Highly recommendable and we would come back at any time. Translate this guest review

Translate this guest review
